The Annual Study Day
Treading the Terracotta: The Theatre that is worship
will take place on Wednesday 28th November 2018
in the halls and sanctuary of Dunblane Cathedral.
During the day we will examine whether the metaphor of theatre and the dramatic arts offer a much needed prompt to the church to recover elements that have been lost and cue in a new level of engagement on the part of worshippers. We have asked playwright and theatre director, Kolbrún Björt Sigfúsdóttir, to unfold for us what she is aiming for when she directs a play. In the afternoon, we will explore further the implications of worship today. We are most grateful to the Revd Colin Renwick, minister of Dunblane Cathedral, for making this visit possible.
Further information on the day can be found by contacting the Society's Secretary, Douglas Galbraith, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
