The arrangements may be used:
by quite young people who have begun to learn to play a keyboard instrument and are asked to play hymns for small gatherings or for Sunday worship.
They may also be used:
by players who are new to the hymn tune repertoire and who might find themselves week by week being asked to play, confidently enough for congregational singing, several tunes they have not met before, with little time to practise.
Or they may be used:
as a basis for making instrumental parts for a praise band.
